Gujarat escapes heavy rainfall as depression moves towards Oman
The depression that formed over Gujarat has moved away and has now formed over the Arabian coast in the area which is east-central and northeast to the state

India Meteorological Department (IMD) released a statement on Sunday which came off as rar good news for Gujarat since depression that formed over state has moved away and has w formed over Arabian coast in area which is east-central and rast to state. depression is likely to intensify over next couple of days and is likely to develop into a cyclonic storm during subsequent 24 hours. depression is also likely to move towards Oman.

Heavy rainfall averted
Gujarat has received very rainfall in last two months, flood various regions in state and causing massive losses to human life as well as property. depression is likely to cause light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy falls is likely over coastal districts of Saurashtra and Kutch. It is expected to decrease reafter. region is likely to receive heavy rainfall but it spares region and state of extremely heavy rainfall. Information later shared by IMD stated that deep depression intensified over Arabian sea and its w a cyclone, which is named 'Hikka'. cyclone is expected to hit Oman coast by September 25.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams rescued 594 people. Around country, heavy rainfalls have caused massive floods. Mumbai witnessed multiple instances of flooding and so did multiple areas in Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, Himachal Presh, Orrisa etc.
