NCP on Wednesday criticised Yogi ityanath-led Uttar Presh government over Hathras gang-rape victim's family being allegedly denied right to perform her last rites.
Amid allegations by 19-year-old victim's family that local police forced m to conduct last rites in de of night, Maharashtra NCP chief Jayant Patil termed it as "inhuman and unfortunate".

body of Dalit woman, who died in a Delhi hospital on Tuesday, a fortnight after she was gang-raped, was cremated in Hathras in early hours of Wednesday.
Local police officers told PTI that cremation was carried out "as per wishes of family".

Patil in a tweet in Hindi said, "Final rites of Indias daughter were performed during early hours in absence of her family members. This behaviour of Uttar Presh government is inhuman and unfortunate." "Daughters are t being respected when y are alive r while y are de," he ded.
In an apparent reference to ityanaths recent anuncement of renaming Mughal museum in Agra after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Patil said chief minister has right to take warrior kings name if he cant form a state of justice and equality.

He asked ityanath to first seek inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajs work when he takes his name.
Maharashtra Mirity Affairs Minister and NCPs national spokesperson Nawab Malik accused Uttar Presh Police of becoming complicit in depriving gang-rape victim every single human right even in death.

"I strongly condemn this inhuman and shameful act by #UPPolice and lend strength and support to family of deceased and demand a probe in matter at earliest, Malik tweeted.
"It is time when deductive use of Centres Beti Bachao Beti Phao scheme should be evaluated in real life to deliver justice and t just for gaining momentum on television to build vote banks," he said.

"It is high time we put an end to such casteism, and @myogiityanath Ji stop giving criminals hold power over victims, Malik ded.
