HC seeks Chidambaram's response on suit filed by 63 moons company

Bombay High Court on Tuesday, October 22, directed former Union finance minister P Chidambaram and two senior bureaucrats to file ir affidavits in response to a suit filed by 63 moons techlogy company seeking Rs 10,000 crore in dams. Justice A K Men directed Chidambaram and two bureaucrats - K P Krishnan and Ramesh Abhishek - to file ir affidavits within eight weeks.

63 moons techlogies, previously kwn as Financial Techlogies Ltd, filed suit on June 12 against senior Congress leer and two bureaucrats, accusing m of taking "malicious and mala fide" action against it during Chidambaram's tenure as finance minister in connection with Rs 5,600 crore NSEL scam.

While Krishnan was n secretary in Ministry of Skill Development, Ramesh Abhishek was n chairman of Forward Markets Commission.

According to suit, re was money trail traced to NSEL, 63 moons and its founder Jignesh Shah by multiple investigative ncies. However, group was targeted as part of a "conspiracy" by Chidambaram, Krishnan, and Abhishek, suit alleged.
