Hindi Diwas to be celebrated by Rajasthan Hindi Granth Academy

Rajasthan Hindi Granth Academy is going to celebrate the Hindi Diwas on September 14 by honouring 200 authors and awarding several of them with the Pragya Award

On occasion of Hindi Diwas, Rajasthan Hindi Granth Acemy is set to hour 200 authors at its golden jubilee celebrations on September 14. authors will be felicitated by CM Ashok Gehlot and will be given mementoes and letters. Minister of State for Higher Education, Bhanwar Singh Bhati told reporters that acemy would hold celebrations at Birla auditorium.

Commemorating Authors 

Minister explained that three authors will be presented with  Pragya Award, whose 15 editions of books h been published. authors who will be given award during celebrations are Dr Harimohan Saxena, Dr Rita Pratap and Mamta Chaturvedi. Each of m will furr be a given a cheque for Rs 51,000. Bhati furr said acemy h paid Rs 59 lakh in royalty to its authors.

Rajasthan Hindi Granth Acemy is an acemy of firsts. It is  first such acemy in country which was going to hour Hindi writers on such a large scale. Moreover, it was first such government institution in country that h sold a record 3.71 crore books in a year. So far, around 1.5 crore books h been sold by acemy this year.

Furrmore, Rajasthan is first state in country where Hindi Granth Acemy pays royalty online to authors with complete transparency, Minister said.

Talking about next project, Bhati said that acemy would publish mographs on 143 freedom fighters under "Swatantrata Sangram ke Amar Purodha Series" of freedom struggle. se mographs will pertain to freedom fighters who passed away between 2006 and 2019, in form of a mini-series.

Hindi Diwas

On September 14, in 1949, India h opted Hindi written in Devanagari script as official langu of country. day designates popularity of langu, which is 4th most spoken in world.

To celebrate Hindi Diwas, Ministry of Home Affairs has planned a number of events. Home Minister Amit Shah will present Rajbhasha Awards to chiefs of various departments, ministries, and offices in government for ir outstanding performances in promoting langu.
