Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to enquire about lynching of three people in state's Palghar area, officials said.

During telephonic conversation, Thackeray apprised home minister about incidents and steps taken to nab those involved in incident, y said.

On April 16 night, three Mumbai residents, who were on ir way to Silvassa, were lynched by local residents in Gadakchinchale vill of Palghar district on suspicion that y were thieves.

Reports said more than 100 people, including a few mirs, were detained by police for ir alleged involvement in incident.
