Indian Navy hails Priyadarshani Pawar for winning global cycling event

The Indian Navy announced on Twitter that Priyadarshani Pawar, whose parent is in the Force and husband is in the Coast Guard won a cycling event on August 22.

Indian Navy anunced on Twitter that Priyarshani Pawar, whose parent is in Force and husband is in Coast Guard me India proud on August 22 by winning Paris Brest Paris Randonneur cycling event. event was held from August 18-22. As per Indian Navy Spokesperson's account on Twitter, Pawar's victory is first time ever an Indian woman has successfully completed event since it started in 1891. As per Navy Spokesperson, PM Narendra Modi happened to come to France same time Pawar finished race with a stunning victory.

Indian Navy hails Indian women as y continue breaking glass ceilings

Navy Spokesperson credited Pawar's success to its programmes for empowering women and children. Pawar is a Navy Children school alumna. Her achievement comes soon after that of Navika Sagar Parikrama, where an all women crew completed mission of circumnavigating globe on Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini. Tarini team completed ir mission on May 2018.
