"It's not 56-inch chest, it's 65": Rajnath Singh speaks of PM's pride in govt's feats
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Jharkhand said that "People say that our Prime Minister has a 56-inch chest. I think there's a mistake. It's not 56, it's 65"

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday while dressing a BJP rally in Jharkhand praised BJP's efforts and all that party has done in last five years under leership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for betterment of country and people. Remarking on what he said PM thought of country's achievements, Rajnath Singh stated that "People say that our Prime Minister has a 56-inch chest. I think re is a mistake in measuring. It's t 56, its 65 inches," implying a chest swelling with pride. Singh went on to slam Congress over UPA era corruption.
On Rafale Fighter Jets
Three Rafale fighter aircraft have been handed over to Indian Air Force (IAF) till date. During rally, Rajnath Singh said, "As Rafale comes to country, we do t need to enter Pakistan's boundary to kill terrorists. We can do it from here w." Defence Minister also asserted that Rafale fighter jets, acquired by country from France, would destroy terror camps across border.

On Ayodhya temple construction
Supreme Court in a historic verdict on vember 9 backed construction of a Ram temple by a trust at disputed site in Ayodhya. Speaking about it, Singh asserted that " path for construction of temple has been cleared by Supreme Court." He furr said, "A grand Ram temple will be built in Ayodhya and power in world can stop that from happening."

BJP's rule in Jharkhand
BJP currently rules state in an alliance with All Jharkhand Students' Union (AJSU). saffron alliance rules state under leership of Chief Minister Raghubar Das. In 2014 assembly polls, BJP won 37 seats in 81-member house. Its ally, AJSU, won 5, taking NDA past majority mark. BJP's dominant performance also saw it reduce Congress to just six seats. In Lok Sabha polls concluded in May, BJP won 12 of 14 parliamentary seats. While Congress and JMM have anunced a tie-up for upcoming polls, y are yet to finalise seat-sharing. This time, however, BJP and AJSU are t in alliance for elections.

Jharkhand Assembly elections
Jharkhand will undergo polls later this year, following Maharashtra and Haryana, which voted on October 21. Polling on 81 seats will take place in five phases, with first phase being scheduled on vember 30 and last one on December 20. counting will take place on December 23. term of 81-seat Jharkhand Assembly ends on January 5 next year.
