MP Election: Was there a stark contrast in BJP, Congress' strategies? How strong the campaigns were

BJP has comfortably won 141 seats, while the Congress has managed to secure 46 seats so far in MP assembly elections.

Many are wondering what helped the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to win in Madhya Pradesh, as the party swept the country's Hindi heartland. As per the latest data from the Election Commission (ECI), the BJP has comfortably won 141 seats, while the Congress has managed to secure 46 seats so far. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, and other leaders' successful poll strategies and highly charged campaigns generated a wave of support for the party in the state. The two major political parties in the contest, the Congress and the BJP, have staged a sizable number of rallies in the months leading up to the polls. The Congress managed only 350 rallies, compared to the BJP's staggering 634, 15 of which were led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Here is the comparison between the leaders of both parties in terms of rallies and the constituencies won by them. 

PM Modi Versus Congress leader Rahul Gandhi 

Rallies by Rahul Gandhi were held in 12 places in Madhya Pradesh: Jawad (1), Neemuch (1), Satna (1), Jabalpur (1), Ashoknagar (1), Vidisha (1), Tikamgarh (1), Bhopal (3), Bhopal Uttar (1), and Shahdol (1). Congress won only two constituencies of Ashoknagar and Jawad. 

PM Modi led 15 rallies in Madhya Pradesh: Indore (1), Jhabua (1), Shajapur (1), Betul (1), Barwani (1), Chhatarpur (1), Sathan (1), Morena (1), Guna (1), Damoh (1), Sidhi (1), Khandwa (1), Seoni (1), Ratlam (1), Chitrakoot (1). BJP won constituencies of Indore, Jhabua, Shajapur, Betul, Barwani, Chhatarpur, Guna, Damoh, Sidhi, Khandwa, Ratlam, and Satna. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah Versus Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi

Priyanka Gandhi conducted 10 rallies : Sidhi (1), Datia (1), Indore (3), Sanwer Indore (1), Dhar (1), Damoh (1), Mandla (2). Congress won two constituencies of Datia and Mandla. 

Amit Shah conducted 18 rallies: Jabalpur (2), Rewa (1), Datia (2), Raghugarh (1), Chanderi (1), Chachaura Guna (1), Vidhisha (1), Dhar (1), Manawar (2), Gwalior (1), Sheopur (1), Shivpuri (1), Ujjain (2), Chhidwara (1). BJP won constituencies of Jabalpur, Rewa, Chanderi, Chachaura Guna,  Vidhisha,  Dhar, Manawar, Gwalior, Shivpuri and Ujjain. 

BJP Chief JP Nadda Versus Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge 

Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge conducted four rallies:  Bhopal (2), Gwalior (1) and Balaghat (1), Congress won one constituency of Balaghat. 

BJP Chief JP Nadda conducted 10 rallies: Narsinghpur (1), Badi (!), Atole Ratlam (1), Bhopal (1), Indore (1), Pigdamber (1), Khargone (2), Rewa (2). BJP won all of them. 

UP CM Yogi Adityanath Versus Former MP CM Kamal Nath  

Kamal Nath conducted rallies: Morena (1), Dimani (1), Bhopal (1), Narmadapuram (1), Sagar (1), Chhindwara (4), Niwari (1), Chattarpur (1), Indore (1), Balagaht (1), Kareli (1), Damoh (1). Congress won four constituencies Balaghat, Kareli, Chhindwara and Morena. 

CM Yogi led 14 rallies: Chhidwara (1), Bhopal (1), Panna (1), Pawai (1), Bhind (1), Chhatarpur (1), Rewa (1), Narsinghpur (1), Prithvipur (1), Ajaygarh (1), Sonkutch Dewas (1), Khategaon (1), Sujalpur (1). BJP won Bhopal, Panna, Pawai, Bhind, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Narsinghpur, Ajaygarh, Sonkutch in Dewas, Khategaon and Shujalpur.
