PM Modi on Ayodhya verdict: "Strengthen the spirit of Rashtra Bhakti"

Commenting on the Ayodhya judgement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that it was imperative for everyone to strengthen the spirit of ‘Rashtra Bhakti'.

Commenting on Supreme Court’s judgement in  Ayodhya land dispute case on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that it was imperative for everyone to strengn spirit of ‘Rashtra Bhakti’. Observing that verdict should t be equated in terms of victory and loss, he stressed on maintaining peace and harmony. PM also highlighted significance of judgement by citing that due process was followed in giving ample time and opportunity to all parties in putting forth ir arguments. At same time, he expressed his pride in mature conduct of all Indians in run-up to verdict. Furrmore, PM Modi hoped that this unity would furr development of India.

SC verdict

Earlier, Constitution bench of SC, comprising of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer prounced a unanimous verdict, awarding entire disputed area to Hindu parties. It directed Centre to formulate a scheme within three months which will be responsible for building a temple. On or hand, SC ordered that an alternative land of 5 acres in Ayodhya would be given to Sunni Central Waqf Board for construction of a mosque.
