'6 years no introspection, what hope now?': Kapil Sibal unsparing about Congress' plight
Kapil Sibal said that the people, not just in Bihar but wherever by-elections were held, "obviously don’t consider the Congress to be an effective alternative."

Congress mand to win only 19 of 70 seats it contested in Bihar, while its partner RJD emerged as single-largest party, winning 75 seats. However, Mahagathbandhan failed to cross majority mark and form its government in state. Soon after debacle, several party leers have called for "introspection" and have conceded that Grand Alliance couldn’t reach halfway mark of 122 because grand old party was “weak link”.

' writing is on wall'
In an interview with Indian Express, former Union Minister spoke about party's performance in Bihar and or by-elections and said, " writing is on wall" after Congress lost all by-elections in Gujarat and in some of constituencies in Uttar Presh, Congress candidates in by-elections tched up less than 2% of votes cast. He also said that three of party's candidates in Gujarat lost ir deposits.
"If for six years Congress has t introspected what hope do we have for introspection w? We kw what is wrong with Congress. Organisationally, we kw what is wrong. I think we have all answers. Congress party itself kws all answers. But y are t willing to recognise those answers. If y do t recognise those answers, n graph will continue to decline. That is sorry state of affairs that Congress is in and that is what we are concerned about," Sibal said in interview.

'Maybe y think all is well'
Sibal was one of 23 Congress leers behind "dissent letter" that caused an all-out clash within party in August but did t have much of an impact as party continues to be functioning in same way.
Answering wher party is taking Bihar defeat like "business as usual", he said, "I don’t kw. I am only talking about myself. I have t heard leership tell me anything. So I don’t kw. I only hear voices which surround leership. That is all I kw. We are yet to hear from Congress party ir views on our recent performance in Bihar and in by-elections. Maybe y think all is well and that it should be business as usual."
