Soon after Shiv Sena moved to Supreme Court to challenge goverr's recommendation of a President's rule in Maharashtra, Republic TV has accessed petition filed by Sena. 26-p petition filed by Shiv Sena is against Centre and has me Congress and NCP - parties to petition. petition challenges order of goverr refusing m time to form government. petition also names Congress leer and senior vocate Kapil Sibal as lawyer for Shiv Sena. 

In petition, Sena has urged for an urgent hearing, sighting that it will become infructuous, if t heard urgently. Shiv Sena, opposing Goverr's move, has said in petition: " goverr erred in rejecting request for extension of time and that in exercise of his powers, most goverr could have done was ordered a floor test." Shiv Sena also says that goverr overstepped his powers in stating in his report to centre that party was in a position to form a stable government.

President's rule recommendation by Goverr

Issuing a press statement confirming recommendation of a president's rule in Maharashtra, Goverr of Maharashtra on Tuesday, set record straight as NCP denied any such recommendation. In statement, Goverr Bhagat Singh Koshyari has said that he was satisfied that govt of State of  Maharashtra cant be carried on in accordance with Constitution. Hence, goverr h submitted a report as contemplated by provisions of Art. 356 of Constitution.

NCP-Cong blame game

Earlier in day, NCP has agreed to give Chief Minister's post to Shiv Sena, but is waiting for Congress's decision on same, sources said. Minutes after NCP put onus on Congress to discuss future course of government formation in Maharashtra, Congress has w said that delay is from NCP's chief Shar Pawar, as per sources. Meanwhile, Congres leers Malikarjun Kharge, Ahmed Patel and KC Venugopal will meet NCP chief Pawar on Tuesday, to take final call.

In a minute-by-minute changing dynamics of Maharashtra politics, Goverr of Maharashtra on Monday night invited third-largest party - NCP to form government after Shiv Sena failed to provide majority number. goverr also rejected Sena's request for an extension of deline. Congress leer KC Venugopal on Monday evening said that Congress is still discussing formation of a government with NCP and has to extended Outer support to Shiv Sena. This official declaration came even as Shiv Sena reached its deline of 7.30 PM to form government in Maharashtra. NCP, on or hand, placed onus of decision-making on Congress, saying y will take decision only after Congress decides. After BJP on Sunday anunced that it wouldn't form government, Goverr h invited second largest party - Shiv Sena to form government. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant also resigned from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet.
