After making reading Preamble compulsory, Maha minister wants questions on it in exams

After making reing Preamble compulsory during prayer meet in schools, state minister for industries and Marathi langu Subhash Desai has written to state Education Minister Varsha Gaikw to direct schools to include in questions on Preamble to Constitution of India and national pledge in exams.
'Questions should be asked about same'
“Along with reing of Preamble of Constitution, school education department should mandate two things — national anm and Preamble as part of syllabus. And, questions should be asked about same in exams,” minister wrote in letter. “Once it is part of examination papers, n students will start taking it seriously. y will also discuss its national importance. That will help m be good citizen,” Desai furr stated.

In January, Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikw h said that from January 26 onwards it will be me compulsory for school students to re-out preamble to Constitution during ir morning assemblies. Reing of preamble is part of "sovereignty of constitution, welfare of all" campaign, a state government circular said.
Speaking to media she said, "Students will recite preamble to Constitution so that y kw its importance. It is an old GR. But we will implement it from January 26. Students will re out preamble every day after morning prayers"
Maharashtra has around 1.10 lakh primary, secondary and private schools. Ashish Shelar, former education minister and senior BJP leer, welcomed tification. “But after reing Preamble, if someone says “Bharat Mata Ki Jai or Vande Mataram, y should t be boycotted or ill-treated,” he, however, ded sarcastically.

MP, Rajasthan follows Maharashtra
Maharashtra's decision was soon followed by states of Rajasthan and Mhya Presh. Apart from reing Constitution, Rajasthan government has also decided to have Preamble printed on front p of books included in course curriculum from classes 1st to 12th, in English and Hindi, from acemic session, 2020-21.
