Hubli Violence: AIMIM leader arrested over clashes in Karnataka, probe underway
Irfan Nalvatwad, husband of AIMIM Corporator Hussainbi Nalvatwad has been arrested by Karnataka police in connection with Hubli violence.

In a major development, an All India Majlis-e-Ittehul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leer has w been arrested in connection with Hubli violence that took place on Saturday. Irfan Nalvatw, husband of AIMIM Corporator Hussainbi Nalvatw has been arrested by Karnataka police in connection with Hubli violence. Violent clashes erupted in Hubli as a mob hurled stones at a police station, injuring four policemen.
Irfan Nalvatw, husband of AIMIM Corporator Hussainbi Nalvatw from Ward 77 has been arrested by Karnataka police. arrest comes after an angry mob attacked a police station here. It is pertinent to te that incident resulted in injuries of four police officers, one of whom was an inspector.

Following clashes, Section 144 was imposed in area. "Section 144 has been implemented throughout city, and situation has been brought under control," informed Police Commissioner Labhu Ram on Sunday. Responding to incident, several ministers including Minister of Higher Education of Karnataka, CN Ashwath Narayan demanded quick action against perpetrators. Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra reiterated Chief Minister Basavaraj Somappa Bommai's remarks, stating incident could have been pre-planned.

attacks in Hubli and Kurol were followed by communal clashes in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area, where a Hanuman Jayanti procession came under attack by miscreants on Saturday. Delhi violence saw several police officers get injured including one sub-inspector, who sustained a bullet injury. According to Delhi police, 21 people including two mirs have so far been arrested in connection with violent clashes.
Weighing in on Hanuman Jayanti violence in Delhi, AIMIM supremo Asuddin Owaisi lashed out at both Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Contending that clashes have become common in Delhi after Shah took over as Home Minister, he questioned latter on why Arms Act was t invoked against people who were allegedly carrying pistols in Hanuman Jayanti procession.
