J&K: Home Minister Amit Shah proposes Article 370's revocation, Centre brings 4 proposals about Kashmir to Parliament
On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah gave a statement in the Rajya Sabha on Jammu and Kashmir proposing that the Article 370 be abrogated.

On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah gave a statement in Rajya Sabha on Jammu and Kashmir proposing that Article 370 be abrogated.
Home Minister said that he proposed that Modi government under advisement of President recommends revocation of Article 370. He said that Centre has brought four proposals pertaining to state to Parliament.

Ahead of Shah's speech, Opposition tried to block his address. y tried to create a ruckus.
Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "Entire valley is under curfew, political leaders including three former chief ministers are under house arrest. re is a war-like situation in state, so this should be discussed on priority." TMC's Derek O' Brien also tried to put across his party's view.

Prologue to Amit Shah's Rajya Sabha anuncment
This comes after Shah met with PM Narendra Modi during meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security and later in Cabinet meeting at Prime Minister's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. Shah had also held a one-hour meeting with Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad before his meeting with Prime Minister.
