Jitendra Singh weighs in on INC-BJP bus row, says Congress exposed itself
Singh claimed that the Indian National Congress (INC) exposed itself by showing buses on television screens instead of making buses available on the ground.

Union Minister and senior BJP leer Jitendra Singh claimed that Indian National Congress (INC) exposed itself by showing buses on television screens inste of making m available on ground. He also expressed concern over Congress "politicising hardship of migrant labourers in most blatant manner".

Singh said, "I think Yogi Ji has called bluff in most befitting manner. He h asked for list of drivers and buses, which is t available. Congress has exposed itself by projecting buses on television screen, inste of deploying m on ground to ferry migrant workers. I am pained that in this crisis, Congress is politicising hardship of migrant laborers in most blatant manner. A responsible opposition party is supposed to co-operate with government in rescue and relief process but y are politicising matter."

Even though thousands of migrants were stranded and wanted to he home, a political standoff took place in Uttar Presh between two national parties.

On May 16, Priyanka Vra wrote to UP CM Yogi ityanath, urging him to permit Congress party to run 1,000 buses to ferry migrant workers back to ir native place. UP ministration accepted this request on Monday, asking opposition party to send buses to Luckw by 10 am on Tuesday. However, Vra's private secretary Sandeep Singh stated that sending empty buses to Luckw was "inhuman" at a time when thousands of workers h gared at borders of UP.

reafter, UP ditional Chief Secretary (Home) Avanish Awasthi asked Congress party to send 500 buses each to Kaushambi, Sahibab bus stands in Ghaziab, and ground near Expo Mart in Gautam Buddh Nagar where y will be handed over to respective District Magistrates. Singh again wrote back, remarking that it would be possible for Congress to send buses only by 5 pm on Tuesday. Meanwhile, UP Minister Sidharth Nath Singh revealed that many two-wheelers, auto-rickshaws, and good carriers were in list of buses submitted by Congress party. He called upon Congress president Sonia Gandhi to explain why y were committing this "fraud".
