Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan underwent heart surgery in a Delhi hospital on Saturday, October 3, according to his son Chirag Paswan. 74-year-old senior leer has been active in politics for more than five deces. He has been hospitalised for last few weeks.
Chirag who is chief of Lok Janshakti Party informed that his far might have to undergo ar surgery in coming weeks if need arises.

Taking to twitter Chirag wrote, "For last many days my far is getting treated in a hospital. Due to some sudden developments yesterday evening, an operation of his heart h to be conducted in late night. If need arises, n possibly after a few weeks ar operation might be conducted. Thanks to all for standing by me and my family in this hour of struggle.

LJP cancels seat-sharing meet
tably, LJP meeting that was scheduled for Saturday, October 3 to decide on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance`s (NDA) seat sharing for Bihar Assembly election, was postponed owing to ill health of Union Minister. Earlier in September, Chirag h informed that his visit to Bihar for final discussions over seat-sharing and or formalities ahe of upcoming Bihar Assembly elections might be delayed as his far was unwell. He h n met party members and supporters urging m to be prepared for every scenario.

BJP h earlier said that it will fight Bihar elections under leership of Janata Dal (United) leer and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, LJP, ar NDA ally. As per sources, LJP may settle for 30 seats in National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for upcoming elections. Meanwhile, Bihar has 243 Assembly seats and elections will be held in three phases- October 28, vember 3, and 7. counting of votes will begin on vember 10.
