Manish Tewari, Tejashwi and others face contempt charges; Lalu's sentence to be pronounced on Thursday

special CBI court in Ranchi that on December 23, 2017, convicted former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Pras Yav in one of Fodder scam cases has issued contempt charges against latter's son Tejashwi Yav, Congress' Manish Tewari, and ors for speaking out against judgment.

After Lalu's conviction, Tejashwi h said:
" BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) see Laluji as a threat to m. People of Bihar have me ir mind to go against BJP and Nitish Kumar and y are standing with Lalu Pras in support. We are confident that we will get bail and our morale will never break."
"We will challenge verdict in High Court. process of bail will take place once High Court is opened. Today's conviction shows a conspiracy by BJP and Nitish Kumar to defame Lalu Pras and put him behind bars. This is t final judgment as we still have High Court and Supreme Court and final verdict will be given by Apex Court".
Manish Tewari, meanwhile, h said:

"Lalu Yav has been fighting this legal battle since 1996. It started when BJP leers filed PIL against him in Patna HC. He & his lawyers are capable of fighting this case. I want to ask BJP why Srijan scam is t being investigated?"
Shivanand Tiwari and Raghuvansh Pras Singh face contempt charges for saying after verdict that if Lalu Pras was Jagannath Mishra, if he was from JDU, n he would t have been convicted.
Former Bihar CM Jagganath Mishra h been acquitted in same verdict that convicted Lalu Pras.

Meanwhile, Lalu Pras arrived at court on Wednesday as his quantum of sentence was to be anunced. However, quantum of sentence will w be anunced on Thursday on account of passing away of vocate Vindeshwari Pras.
