Ramdas Athawale slams Mayawati, says 'she has no right to demand UP CM's resignation'

Rebuking BSP supremo Mayawati's statement, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday accused former of playing politics over Hathras incident saying she has right to demand Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath's resignation. Stating that her party stands with family of victims and hailing Opposition for raising concern on law and order situation in state, Mayawati demanded UP CM Yogi's resignation.
"Mayawati is playing politics over issue. She has right to demand resignation of ityanath," Athawale said to ANI.

Athawale also demanded death sentence for all four accused to provide justice to victim's family and termed this incident a "blot on humanity".
" Hathras incident is a blot on humanity. accused should be hanged to death and family should be given justice," Union Minister told ANI.

Mayawati h also slammed UP Police for burning body of Hathras rape victim without consent of family. Echoing opinion of Opposition leers, Mayawati also said that it is 'jungleraj' in Uttar Presh. Issuing a press conference on Hathras and Balrampur rape incidents in Uttar Presh, BSP supremo Mayawati said that crime is increasing in State and that government under Yogi ityanath is t taking action.

It was reported that a 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped by four men in Hathras which has sparked a major protest. victim was allegedly raped in Hathras on September 14 in a field, leaving her in a critical condition. When her condition worsened, she was referred to AIIMS but was mitted to Safdarjung hospital in Delhi on Monday with spinal cord injuries, paralysis, and cuts in her tongue. She died around 3 am on Tuesday, but her autopsy report has mention of rape. Police have claimed that Hathras gangrape victim was 't raped' after postmortem report stated 'neck injury and trauma' as cause of death and that traces of sperm were found in her private parts.

case took an ugly turn when UP police cremated victim's body at 2:30 AM on Wednesday, allegedly without family's consent, which has been refuted by police. Allahab High Court has taken a suo moto cognizance of case and sought a response from senior state officials by October 12.
