With the Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic and CVoter are back with the National Approval Ratings to give a complete picture as to who will win if polls are held today in the state of Bihar. After the BJPs former alliance partner Upendra Kushwaha of the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) joined the Mahagathbandhan in the politically fluid and electorally significant state, here's the projected breakdown of seat share and vote share:

PROJECTIONS: The NDA, that is the BJP, the LJP and the JDU, is projected to get a vote share of 47.4% with a seat share of 35 seats. This projection is positive for the NDA as the alliance recently announced that the BJP and JDU each will contest 17 seats and the LJP will constant 6 seats. Moreover, Amit Shah personally declared that they will win more than '31 seats' in the state.

  • Seat Share:

UPA: 5 seats

NDA: 35 seats

Other Parties: 0 seats

  • Vote Share:

UPA: 38.6%

NDA: 47.4%

Total: 14.0%

COMPARISON TO PREVIOUS NUMBERS:

  • Little or no effect of the RLSP factor: While the BJP led NDA is projected to see a fall in vote share by 0.3% from the 47.7% that was projected in November, in terms of seat share the projection the NDA has gained 1 seat and an increase of 4 seats from the projections put out in the month of October's approval ratings. This clearly indicates, there was little or no effect of the RLSP factor.
  • Upendra Kushwaha factor: The UPA  has seen an increase in projected vote shares from November by 3.3% and from October by 4.9%. However, the seat share of the UPA is projected to fall by 1 seat as compared to November and 4 seats when compared with October's projection. It indicated that gaining a leader like Upendra Kushwaha, may not have made a palpable difference.

The results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.
