Exclusive/ Confident That Next 5 Years of Modi-Led NDA Govt Will Be a Very Constructive Period: Nripendra Misra
Misra exuded confidence that there will be a "very healthy working relationship" among the parties within the coalition.

New Delhi: Modi 3.0 government will last for five years and will carry out its programmes, Nripendra Misra, Former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister of India asserted on Saturday while speaking in an exclusive conversation with Republic Media Network's Senior Executive Editor Abhishek Kapoor.
"I'm confident next five years will be a very constructive period wherein interaction will be possible and dialogues will continue among parties within coalition", Misra told Republic.

Stressing that PM Modi's 3.0 government comes with pre-existing working experience and relationship, former Principal Secretary to PM asserted that party h a majority before, but it h partners too.
“Let us first look at what is different in Modi 3.0 government than first two governments. party h a majority before, but it h partners too…So, re is alrey some pre-existing working experience and relationship”, he said.

Responding to a question on opposition's criticism of Narendra Modi being unaware of coalition politics, Misra recalled an earlier discussion on coalition dharma, and cited PM Modi as saying that latter has a very constructive, living experience of bringing toger point of views and parties.
“He (PM Modi) once mentioned that it was during Emergency when he first learnt art of working toger with different parties having different ideologies and views”, Misra quipped.

Refuting opposition's criticism of PM Modi's hold over coalition politics, Misra asserted that a political career should not be measured from sole point of view of wher or not a particular leer has been in government.
“He [Narendra Modi] has a long span of political career, he was in organisation”, ex Principal Secretary to PM stressed.

Noting that regional development will be strength of NDA government, Misra exuded confidence that re will be a "very healthy working relationship" among parties within coalition.
“ two leers [Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar] who are governing two states - Andhra Presh and Bihar - are national leers with a nationalistic view”, he said, ding, “Our Prime Minister is committed to delivering and taking country to a much higher trajectory in next five years”.

Furrmore, Misra expressed his happiness over Naidu's recent remarks on PM Modi, saying, “I was so happy to hear a comment coming from Chandrababu Naidu that this is best time we are in and he [PM Modi] is best leer we have got who can take country forward”.
Sharing an anecdote from his term in office as Principal Secretary to PM, Misra recalled how he was, along with many ors from selection committee, left surprised by PM Modi in run up to Pma Awards and Bharat Ratna.
"During my period of service, when Pma Awards and Bharat Ratna were getting finalised, PM Modi took a lot of interest. He was almost proposing names and I remember him asking team to include Shar Pawar's name for Pma Vibhushan. We were all very surprised", he recalled.
Underlining that all attendees are allowed to speak during cabinet meetings led by PM Modi, Misra said capacity building is inherent in him (Narendra Modi).
"During cabinet meetings led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, everybody is allowed to speak. process may get delayed and decision making may not take place on same day, but nobody was ever asked to curtail his/her observations", he stressed, ding, “Be it a one-to-one meeting or meeting of officers, he never cuts short anybody. He motivates ors to speak up”.
Misra also recalled his exchange of words with prime minister at time of former's farewell. "I was invited for a farewell tea when I was leaving PMO. I said 'Thank you, Sir' and his only remark was - "Mr. Misra, be it politics or bureaucracy, re is never a last word. I utilise a person up to a point he is interested in working", he quipped.
message which was very clear from Day 1 was that he (PM Modi) h a vision of 100 days, Misra noted while emphasizing that prime minister would never compromise with that (his longer-term vision).
