Owaisi slams RJD, JD(U) over CAA, NRC

Lok Sabha MP and AIMIM chief Asuddin Owaisi Sunday slammed Bihar's ruling JD(U) and opposition RJD over issues of amendments in citizenship act and NRC as he dressed a poll rally here.
While Centre has said it will implement both measures, RJD has remained "silent" and BJP ally JD(U) has given "misleing" statements, Owaisi said.

He said Citizenship (Amendment) Act and National Register of Citizens (NRC) will t only "trouble" Muslims and Dalits, but would impact 50 per cent of India's population.
"Assam is a case in point. As many as 20 lakh people don't find mselves in NRC list re. Out of which only 5 lakhs are Muslims, rest 15 lakhs are Hindus," he said.

He said government should focus on issues such as education, employment and health rar than CAA and NRC.
Hyderbab MP's All India Majlis-e-Ittehul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is a part of multi parties alliance in Bihar polls with Uttar Presh leer Mayawati's BSP and former union minister Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP).

Kushwaha, who was present at rally, said Lalu Pras and Nitish Kumar pushed Bihar back in 30 years of ir respective rules in state.
He appealed to people to vote for ir candidates, promising a bright future for state if given chance to govern.

Kushwaha has been declared as chief ministerial candidate of grouping.
