Calling out Rahul Gandhi for his 'immaturity,' Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath remarked that Supreme Court verdict on PM-CARES Fund has highlighted its legality. This comes after apex court, on Tuesday, dismissed plea seeking transfer of funds from PM-CARES to National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF). Following verdict, several BJP leers have lambasted Rahul Gandhi's for his previous attacks on Centre over fund, which was created in March to battle COVID-19 pandemic.
"To protect nation from impact COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's PM CARES has h a unique contribution. Questioning fund is just anor example of Rahul Gandhi's immaturity. Today, Supreme Court has highlighted legality of PM CARES. Satyameva Jayate!" Yogi ityanath tweeted in Hindi.

Earlier in day, BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya came down heavily at 'Lobby' post SC verdict. Malviya predicted anor 'smear campaign' against SC as it dismissed plea seeking transfer of funds. "Lobby will be incensed at idea of not being able to control your donations anymore, which will be used for intended purpose and not for donations to RGF!" BJP leer exclaimed.

SC judgement on Tuesday
A three-judge bench heed by Justice Ashok Bhushan dismissed plea seeking transfer of funds from PM CARES and upheld that money cannot be directed to be deposited or transferred to NDRF. petitioner NGO 'Centre for Public Interest Litigation' (CPIL) submitted before top court that y weren't doubting bonafide of anyone but creation of PM CARES Fund itself which was allegedly 'in contravention of provisions of Disaster Management Act.'

Set up by Centre on March 28, PM Modi is Chairman of trust while Defence Minister, Home Minister and Finance Minister are or members. All citizens including individuals, corporates, and organizations can contribute to this fund to augment relief efforts in wake of novel Coronavirus crisis. One can donate via bank transfer, UPI, Debit and Credit Cards, and Internet banking.

Meanwhile, opposition mainly Congress party has been relentlessly attacking PM CARES fund demanding that it should be merged with PM National Relief Fund. Last week, Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Centre after PMO turned down an RTI request concerning PM CARES fund. He accused PM Modi of bolstering a culture against 'moral integrity.' Following his attack, former Congress President was criticised heavily by several BJP leers including JP Nda, who referred to him as a 'loser'.
