New Delhi: In a startling incident within the political corridors, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee's mimicry of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar has ignited a storm of criticism. The mimicry was being filmed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. 

The episode, caught on camera with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the frame, has led Governor Dhankar to express vehement disapproval, denouncing it as “ridiculous and unacceptable behavior.”

The video footage, swiftly making rounds on social media platforms, showcases Banerjee mimicking the gestures and speech of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar, with Rahul Gandhi seemingly capturing the act on his device. 

Irked Former West Bengal Governor Dhankar’s, strong words have intensified the discourse around the incident, prompting calls for disciplinary action against Banerjee.

Notably, it was during the Opposition’s protest over the suspension of 92 MPs, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee drew attention by mimicking the Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankar. 

Kalyan Banerjee can be heard in the video saying, "My spine is so straight, I'm so tall" while depicting his version of proceedings in Rajya Sabha during a mock parliament by protesting MPs.
