SAD, Congress acted against farmers' bills only after AAP raised issue: Bhagwant Mann

  AAP on Thursday claimed that it was only after party raised issue that Akali Dal and Congress me a "U-turn" on three agriculture-related bills in Parliament.

AAP Lok Sabha MP Bhagwant Mann claimed that until some days back S was supporting "anti-farmer" bills and today y are "shedding crocodile tears".

"Only after y (AAP) raised issue that Akali Dal and Congress took a U-turn on Minimum Support Price (MSP) ordinance bills," he said.

Both Punjab Chief Minister and Punjab Finance Minister from Congress supported se bills in preparatory st,Mann furr claimed.ting that "anti-farmer" bills should have been stopped when y were in preparatory st, Mann said.

In his speech during a discussion on two of farm bills -- Farmers Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, Sukhbir Singh Bal said proposed laws will "destroy" 50 years of hard work done by successive Punjab governments to build farm sector.
