Taking a jibe at Nitish Kumar's 'Friend or enemy' remark, Opposition leer Tejashwi Yav on Sunday, reminded how Nitish h betrayed several parties including RJD. Calling it 'Tit for tat', Yav claimed that Kumar came to power through back doors and greed. Tejashwi has alrey ruled out Nitish Kumar's re-entry in Mahagathbandhan amid tension between NDA allies - JDU and BJP, since Bihar polls.

Nitish: 'Failed to see friends'
On Saturday, at JDU party meeting, Nitish said that he was unaware of who is his friend and who are enemies during Bihar polls. Moreover, he ded that seat distribution within NDA for recently concluded assembly elections should have been done five months prior to poll and that it was delay that dealt Janata Dal (United) suffered a blow. He also said that false propaganda was spre against JDU, in a dig at LJP's Chirag Paswan, who contested polls against Nitish but with PM Narendra Modi.

Taking a dig at his allies, he said, "We failed to anticipate who were our friends and who were t and on whom we should have trusted. After election campaign, we got to understand that things were t conducive for us but by that time it was too late". This quip of Nitish comes amid delayed cabinet expansion in Bihar.

Just a day earlier, Nitish h said that discussion took place on expansion of newly formed cabinet in state. After meeting top BJP leer at his official residence 1 Anne Marg in Patna, Kumar said that matter did t come up for discussion. "As of w, re are 14 members in state Cabinet. issue (of Cabinet expansion) was t taken up for discussion at meeting (with BJP leers) yesterday (January 7)," said Kumar. As per rules, a maximum of 36 ministers, including Chief Minister, can be appointed to 243-member Bihar Assembly.
JD(U)'s reduced clout
In recent Bihar polls, while Nitish was re-elected for a fourth consecutive term his stature was reduced as his party won only 43 seats - down from 71 in 2015, while BJP bettered its tally winning 74 seats. BJP furr asserted its dominance, with shifting Nitish's preferred deputy - Sushil Modi to Rajya Sabha and installing two deputy CMs - 4-time MLAs Tarkishore Pras and Renu Devi inste. Faced with anti-incumbency, NDA mand to eke out a majority winning 125 seats, compared to Mahagathbandhan which raked in 110 seats- mainly due to Tejashwi's campaign.
