Moreover, Congress general secretary of East Uttar Pradesh alleged that Yogi Adityanath dispensation's "antics" have made it clear that it has "thing to do with women's security".

Questioning Uttar Pradesh Police, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asked why state government adopted a "lax approach" in dealing with case. "After all, why did complainant girl had to come before press to seek security? Why is UP police going slow? Is it because accused is from BJP?" Priyanka Gandhi said.
Chinmayanand rape allegation

"Swami Chinmayanand raped me and even exploited me physically for one year," she alleged before media persons, her face covered with a black scarf. victim also approached Delhi Police with a complaint accusing BJP leader of raping her. A senior Delhi Police official said y received a complaint at a police station in south district which has been forwarded to special investigation team of UP Police. " Delhi Police has registered this complaint at Lodhi Road police station and has forwarded it to Shahjahanpur police, which is t registering rape case," she said. "On Sunday, SIT quizzed me for about 11 hours. I have told m about rape. Even after telling m everything, y have t arrested Chinmayanand yet," she said.

She alleged that when her far gave a complaint to police here about her physical exploitation, Shahjahanpur District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh "issued threats", asking her far to file "a missing complaint" instead. "I have all proofs. hostel where I lived has been sealed. It should be opened in front of media," she said, adding that she would give proof, including video clips, at an opportune time against 72-year-old BJP leader.
On FIR registered by Chinmayanand's lawyer alleging that she was demanding Rs 5 crore, she said, "It should be probed. This is a fake allegation." "He (Chinmayanand) has ruined lives of many girls. I can't tell exact number. I am only one to muster cour and stand up," she added. SIT, headed by Inspector General Naveen Arora, was set up by Uttar Pradesh government on a Supreme Court directive. It is looking into details of probe conducted by local police in high-profile matter.

Kuldeep Sengar rape case
In June 2017, 17-year-old rape survivor was allegedly raped by w-former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. After accusing him in April 2018, survivor had attempted to self-immolate before Uttar Pradesh chief minister's residence in her bid for justice. Following that, her far was assaulted, allegedly by rape-accused BJP MLA's bror Atul Singh Sengar and rape accused. Before succumbing to his injuries, victim's far had named Atul Singh Sengar as his assaulter in video testimony. In April 2018, a case was registered against Unnao rape accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar under section 363, 366, 376, 506 and Pocso Act of Indian Penal Code and he was sent to jail. Sengar along with his bror Atul Singh is in jail since n. Delhi High Court judge arrived at Delhi's AIIMS hospital on Monday to record statement of survivor. survivor was allegedly raped by former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. teen has been in AIIMS since July after Supreme Court in a special hearing ordered Uttar Pradesh Police to airlift survivor. SC has ordered to complete trial of Unnao rape case within 45 days.
