Radha Krishna Mathur takes oath as 1st Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh
Radha Krishna Mathur took oath as the first Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh which came into existence after bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Rha Krishna Mathur took oath as first Lieutenant Goverr of Union Territory of Lakh. Union Territory came into existence after bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir. office of oath was ministered by Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Geeta Mittal at a function held in Leh.

oath comes more than two months after state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two Union territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Lakh by Central government after revoking some provisions of Article 370 and bringing in a bill to split state.
Mathur is a retired 1977 batch IAS officer from Tripura cre as Chief Information Commissioner of India in vember 2018. He has also served as expenditure secretary at Centre before getting appointed as Lieutenant Goverr of Jammu and Kashmir. Rha Krishna Mathur has been Union Defence Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Secretary of India and has served Tripura government at different posts such as Chief Secretary of Tripura, Principal Secretary of Agriculture, and Principal Secretary of Finance. Mathur has also served as Development Commissioner in Ministry of Textiles and Chief Enforcement Officer in Ministry of Textiles in Central government.

Girish Chandra Murmu to take oath as Goverr of Jammu and Kashmir
Girish Chandra Murmu, a 1985 batch of Indian ministrative Services officer of Gujarat cre will also take oath as first Lieutenant Goverr of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. two new Lt Goverrs will be replacing Satya Pal Malik, who served as 13th and last Goverr of state of Jammu and Kashmir.
