After taking oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday anunced that his cabinet has taken a decision to allot Rs 20 crore for development of Raigad, capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shiv Sena chief Thackeray and six ors from Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP were sworn-in at historic Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Thursday evening.
Rs 20 crore allotted for Raigad
Addressing a press conference after first cabinet meeting, CM Thackeray said, "I am happy to tell you all that first decision that this cabinet has taken is to approve Rs 20 core for development of Raigad which was capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj."

Thackeray, leader of Maha Vikas Aghadi of Sena-NCP-Congress, took oath as 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He is also first person in his family to hold post. Ensuring good governance in state, he said: " tri-party alliance will work for common people of Maharashtra. government would try to create an environment where re would t be any fear."
He furr assured all possible help to farmers of state. "I want to help farmers in a way that makes m happy. It would be easier for us to kw ground reality if we have a better picture. So far farmers have t got anything but only assurances. We want to provide concrete help to farmers. I have asked officials to provide me with complete information on state and center schemes for farmers, in next two days. Once I get all details, I will make a decision accordingly," Chief Minister said.

On being asked if Shiv Sena has become "secular" after joining hands with Congress and NCP, he said, "Secular ka matlab kya hai? Samvidhan main jo kuch hai woh hai (What is meaning of secular? It is what is written in Constitution)."
Responding to former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' tweet attacking common minimum programme (CMP) of alliance government, Thackeray said, "It's a Cabinet for whole of Maharashtra. If he [Devendra Fadnavis] doesn't understand, he should study." Fadnavis had criticised CMP, saying it had mention for concerns of Marathwada, Vidarbha, and rrn Maharashtra.
