Three migrant workers were killed and 71 were injured in separate ro accidents in Jalaun and Bahraich districts, police said on Friday.

Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath has anunced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh to family of each of deceased and Rs 50,000 to seriously injured.

According to Satish Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Jalaun, a truck with 46 migrants h started for ir home districts in Uttar Presh from Mumbai four days ago. However, it overturned and fell in a roside ditch after being hit by ar truck on late Thursday night.

Two people died on spot and 40 ors were injured and mitted to Orai Medical College, SP said, ding that truck driver informed police about incident.

Those killed have been identified as Sundari belonging to Chitrakoot district and Sher Bahur Gautam of Bhohi.

In ar accident, a truck bringing migrants from Mumbai overturned as its driver lost control of vehicle after hitting an electric pole on Luckw-Bahraich highway, police said.

accident occurred under Chakkarpur Police Station and left 32 people injured, ditional SP Ajay Pratap Singh said.

All injured were rushed to Sar Hospital where one man identified as Ghulam Jilani (28) belonging to Bahraich succumbed to injuries. All injured are said to be natives of Bahraich, SP ded.

A government spokesperson in Luckw said ityanath has directed officials to ensure proper treatment to injured.
