Uttar Pradesh: 44 killed, IMD issues heavy rainfall warning in state
As heavy rains continue in the state of Uttar Pradesh, forty-four people were killed in rain-related incidents in the past 24 hours, stated officials on Friday.

As heavy rains continue to fall in state of Uttar Pradesh, forty-four people have been killed in rain-related incidents in past 24 hours, stated officials on Friday. A report from Relief Commissioner's office said, "Forty-four persons have died in rain-related incidents of house and wall collapse, snake bites, drowning, lightning in state since Thursday (past 24 hours)." administration of Luckw, Amethi, Hardoi and some or districts have anunced closure of schools on Saturday due to heavy rains.
Reported deaths
authorities reported 44 deaths in rain-related accidents in just 24 hours. According to reports, six deaths each were reported in Pratapgarh and Raebareli, five in Amethi, four each in Chandauli and Varanasi and three each in Prayagraj, Barabanki and Mahoba. Furr, two deaths have been reported in Ambedkar Nagar. One each deaths have been reported in Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Sonebhadra, Ayodhya, Saharanpur, Jaunpur, Kaushambi and Azamgarh.

CM Yogi Adityanath takes measures
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed divisional commissioners and district magistrates to take all measures and extend immediate relief to affected people, stated reports. He has also asked officials to visit flood-hit areas and examine situation. Furr, CM Adityanath has asked officials to extend monetary help of Rs 4 lakh each to next of kin of those killed, as well as arrange treatment for injured.

IMD issues warning
Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall warning over next 48 hours in several parts of Uttar Pradesh. According to warning, "Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some areas in district of Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Sombhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Balia, Mau, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Ambedkar Nagar and adjoining districts during next 48 hours. warning is valid till 8.30 am of September 29." According to reports, around 39.2 mm rainfall was witnessed in different areas of state on Friday, leading to waterlogging and uprooting of trees.
