An Uttar Presh government website created to enable people to light an earn lamp digitally amid Deepotsav in Ayodhya on Friday evening crashed due to high participation in digital event. website "www.virtualdeepotsav.com" crashed due to heavy traffic of people on site, an official spokesperson said on late Friday evening. He said site would be rectified soon and people will be able to light "diyas" virtually from Saturday morning.

Yogi ityanath's Diwali dress
Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath on Friday dressed 'Deepotsav 2020' program from Ayodhya where he spoke about significance of this year's Diwali, first since landmark SC judgment on Ram Janmbhoomi, and how a desire of nearly 500 years would be fulfilled this year. Chief Minister also welcomed devotees for joining this program, physically and virtually amid constraints of COVID-19 pandemic.
"In spite of global epidemic, I welcome all devotees of Lord Rama who are present here and who have joined this program in a virtual way, on this occasion. This festival has come at a time when whole world is struggling with Corona," said Yogi ityanath.

"For many generations, everyone h same desire in mind that if we could see construction work of Lord Sri Rama's grand temple, n our birth and life would be blessed. That work has been successful because of Prime Minister Modi ji. On behalf of people of state and all devout devotees, I congratulate Prime Minister Modi for his inspiration, his guidance, his strategy and fulfillment of five-century resolve that country and world is watching," he ded.

Grand Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya
On occasion of Diwali, Ayodhya will be lit up with 5.51 lakh diyas on banks of Sarayu river as country is set to celebrate first Diwali after Supreme Court judgement on Ram Mandir. Chief Minister Yogi ityanath along with Goverr Anandiben Patel has arrived in holy city to be a part of grand Deepotsav. As country celebrates Dhanteras on Friday, state tourism has said it is set to register a world record by lighting maximum number of diyas.
