New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP MP Smriti Irani, who was on a three-day visit to her parliamentary constituency Amethi, came down heavily on an education officer after hearing grievances of retired school teachers, who are yet to get ir salaries. After listening to ir concern, Irani, without wasting any time dialled district inspector of schools and asked him to clear all pending dues.

"This is Amethi, every person residing here has access to me. y can come directly to me with ir problems. Show some humanity", she can be heard saying in video. She also mentioned that state government-led by Yogi ityanath is also keen on ensuring that teachers receive ir salaries timely.
Irani also interacted with people in Munshiganj, where villagers drew her attention to drainage. Speaking to people, Irani alleged that former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi ignored development of Amethi, a constituency he represented in Lok Sabha for 15 years, but built a guest house for himself.

“His government was at Center for 10 years but he did not even think about development of Amethi. Here, work was being done only on paper. Rahul Gandhi could not even build a drain properly in Amethi,” she said.
Union minister said that under BJP government, work has been done on ground in Amethi and development works were being done at a rapid pace. Amethi is moving forward on path of continuous development, she stressed.

During her visit to constituency, Irani listened to problems of people through public dialogue programmes in Ramdevpur, Munshiganj, Sarai Khema, Loniapur, and Pithipur and directed officials concerned to solve issues.
Her plan to return to Delhi on Friday has been cancelled and she will continue to tour constituency till December 30.
