Inaugurating the 7-foot at Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, expressed his fortune in being a part of the social project led by Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas chief Brij Gopaldas Maharaj and the saints present at the venue, addressing the crowds.

Inaugurating the 7-foot at Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, expressed his fortune in being a part of the social project led by Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas chief Brij Gopaldas Maharaj and the saints present at the venue, addressing the crowds.
"It is our good fortune that we could work together in this social welfare project in the holy place of Lord Ram. Today is also fortunate because Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas chief Brij Gopaldas Maharaj is present and that a week-long birth anniversary celebration is conducted, spreading the Sanatan Hindu Dharma throughout the world. Residents of Ayodhya are fortunate to have the presence of so many saints. Maharaj's entire life is dedicated to Ram janmabhoomi, sananthan Hindu dharma, and social welfare, which is also the norm of every saint's life. I feel fortunate and pray for his good health," he said.
Talking about the two major events in the last year, he shared his happiness that the people had voted for PM Modi again in a huge majority saying that India would become a superpower under PM Modi's leadership.
"This statue symbolizes what Lord Ram stood for- social welfare, duty, justice, principle. It also stands for indiscrimination where each person can live life, progress and prosper. This year two major incidents have occurred. One- they voted for the people-serving PM Narendra Modi re-electing him with a great majority. I am fortunate for your blessings which will help in progressing India as a superpower under PM Modi's leadership," he added.
Declaring the Kumbh festival as the other major event, he detailed the grandeur of the festival praising PM Modi's efforts in successfully organizing it and participating in the festivities. He also added that PM Modi washing sanitation workers' feet showed that untouchability no longer existed in India.
"Two- Just before PM Modi's re-election Prayagraj's Kumbh was celebrated on a grand scale. PM Modi's efforts took the 1000-year old Kumbh to an international level such that even UNESCO has recognized Prayagraj as the world's ancient cultural hub of the world. 72 countries' ambassadors and took part in the Kumbh working in co-operation inaugurating the Kumbh festival this year. 24 crore Indians participated in humanity's biggest festival. Here PM Modi washed the feet of sanitation workers, ending the discrimination between a leader and a worker. It showed that there is no place for untouchability in India," he said.
Earlier in the day, the UP Chief Minister unveiled a seven-foot-tall statue of Lord Ram made of a single block of rosewood and purchased for Rs. 35 lakh from Karnataka. This will be on display at the Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan.
