To fight the menace of avoidable casualties at road accidents, the Police in Uttar Pradesh has taken to demonstrating using complex contraption the value of following basic rules while driving, going the extra mile in its efforts to ensure citizens' safety.

The UP police has made a comprehensive demonstration to the people bringing to their attention what is perhaps the most common method of preventing injuries or worse during road accidents - people failing to wear seatbelts while driving. Using a new machine, a policeman demonstrated how not wearing a seatbelt can lead to horrific consequences. The policeman demonstrated how even a slight jerk or a sudden break can throw a person from a seat, given that while the vehicle itself may come to a stop, the human inside it is under no compulsion to do so because that's how momentum works. Watch the demonstration video here:

The video shows a policeman seated besides a dummy without a seatbelt. The seats move ahead and comes to a jarring stop, with the dummy thrown off the seat, while the cop is still safely secured. Hence, the demonstration proves to be a helpful tool in making motorists understand. Meanwhile, Kanpur Police too carried out a demonstration, but with a longer video.

One dummy is placed without a seatbelt, while other has worn a seatbelt. As soon as the chair moves downwards and stops, the dummy without the seatbelt is thrown off with a strong force. The message is out loud and clear and people are urged to wear seatbelts. Watch the full video here:

Police forces in almost every other city has also repeatedly urged people to follow the rules and wear seatbelts and helmets.
