Elon Musk's SpaceX Launches Indian Satellite GSAT 20, Will Provide In-Flight Broadband
India's most sophisticated satellite GSAT 20 N2 has been successfully launched by SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral.

Cape Canaveral: Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket has successfully deployed India’s most advanced communications satellite GSAT 20 N2. The satellite was lifted off at the stroke of the midnight on Monday from Cape Canaveral, United States.

“With a lift-off mass of 4700 kg, GSAT-N2, the 2nd Demand Driven satellite of NSIL, is a Ka-band High throughput communication satellite of NSIL that will enhance broadband services and in-flight connectivity across the Indian region,” NewSpace India informed on X.

GSAT-N2 weighing 4700 kg has been injected into the desired Geo-synchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) and ISRO ’s Master Control Facility (MCF) has taken control of the satellite. Preliminary data indicates satellite in good health, NewSpace India informed.

The GSAT-N2 with 48 Gbps throughput capacity over India including A&N and Lakshadweep islands would cater to Broadband and IFMC service needs of the country, it added.
