During the Milwaukee Bucks' game with Oklahoma City Thunder, Giannis Antetokounmpo tore his own jersey and broke OKC's team sign in anger. The reigning NBA MVP was furious as the Bucks were trailing 56-50 after the first half. Giannis Antetokounmpo's jersey and OKC's team sign were the unfortunate victims of his fury. The player broke the sign while going to the locker room.

Giannis Antetokounmpo bit through his jersey, and proceeded to tear it off. He missed a free-throw and was then replaced with the Brook Lopez with around 7 minutes left for Q2 to end. The Bucks outscored the Thunder 37-24 in Q3 and won the game with a 121-119 advantage. Antetokounmpo ended the game with 35 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 assists. After the match, Antetokounmpo was apologetic. In a post-match interview, he was asked if he was surprised that the sign broke. The MVP replied by saying that he would have been surprised if the sign did not break. The player also offered to pay for the damage caused to the Thunder. This was the Bucks' last visit to Oklahoma City this season.
