Finch explained the minor injury by mentioning how it may have been caused by the extra effort he put in during his knock of 57 against South Australia in the Sheffield Shield. He was confident that the strain was not a long-term injury and was not expecting it to affect his game. Finch will be assessed just in time for Sunday's clash.
Commenting on the possibility of captaincy, Cummins said that he was hoping that Finch recovers in time. He also added that a fast bowler like him captaining the side is not something unique as T20 leagues around the world have experimented with fast-bowling captains. Cummins also acknowledged that the team has other players too, who are much more experienced leaders in the game.
