However, the start to the T20 series has not been great, as the visitors lost the opening match by 4 runs at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

IND vs WI: India’s huge loss since the 2nd ODI against the Windies
The West Indies cricket team won the first match of the five-match T20I series against India, winning by four runs at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. After winning the toss, the West Indies opted to bat first, and opener Brandon King got off to a fast start, scoring 28 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal, who entered the attack in the fifth over, made an immediate impact by dismissing both King and Kyle Mayers in the same over.
Nicholas Pooran delivered an explosive performance, scoring 41 runs off 34 balls, while captain Rovman Powell chipped in with 48 runs, helping the West Indies set a competitive total of 149 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh of India stood out for their efforts.

In pursuit of the objective, India suffered a setback with early wickets, as Shubman Gill (3) and Ishan Kishan (6) both fell early. Suryakumar Yadav battled to score 21 runs from 21 balls. Tilak Varma, a debutant, was the standout performer, scoring 39 runs off just 22 balls before being removed in the 11th over. Team India struggled in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the t20 captain, Hardik Pandya failed to lead the team in the first t20 match.

How did the fans react to India's loss in the IND vs WI
Fans were not happy with the team's performance at all, things got worse during the last overs. Despite the fact that captain Hardik Pandya (19) and Sanju Samson (12) were anticipated to lead the team to victory, they both lost wickets at critical times. Axar Patel was then tasked with leading the side to victory, but he could only manage 13 runs before being dismissed. Despite a brave effort from Arshdeep Singh, the West Indies bowlers were able to efficiently close the game.
In the end, the hosts prevailed by four runs, establishing a 1-0 lead in the series.
