Shubman Gill has been in brilliant form in the last seven to eight months. Gill has scored hundreds in all three formats and also a double hundred against New Zealand in the first ODI in Hyderabad earlier this year. Shubman was also the leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League 2023 and scored 890 runs from 17 matches for the Gujarat Titans.
Shubman Gill has been struggling to score runs since the World Test Championship 2023 Final and got out cheaply for low scores in both innings against Australia. Gill failed to score in the Test and the ODI series against West Indies, whereas his poor performance continued till the first three matches of the T20I series. Gill's form is a big concern for the Indian team management as he will be the first choice for the opening position in the ODI World Cup 2023.
