Team India T20I skipper Hardik Pandya has been receiving a lot of hate from fans on social media for his contentious decision against West Indies for not allowing Tilak Varma to complete his half-century in the IND vs WI 3rd T20I. The visitors won the match by seven wickets, wherein Hardik finished the match in style and ended it with a six. Varma remained unbeaten on 49 runs and was not able to complete his second T20I fifty.

After Hardik Pandya was badly trolled by the fans for not allowing young batter Tilak Varma to complete his half-century and hit a six off the fifth ball of the 18th over, a conversation between him and Tilak is going viral on social media. Pandya can be seen telling Varma about the task he has to perform in the 18th over. In the viral video, Pandya said: "Tereko, especially khatam karna hai, rukna hai, NO ka fark padta hai". ("You have to stay out there and finish the game, not out makes a difference").
The conversation was of the 17th over that was bowled by Windies pacer Alzarri Joseph. However, despite giving the message to Tilak Varma, to finish the game, it was Pandya who himself hit a six off the fifth ball of the 18th over and took the team over the line.

IND vs WI 3rd T20: Tilak Varma continues his dream run in T20Is
Amidst all the controversies, Team India batter Tilak Varma continued his dream form in the third T20I against Windies and slammed unbeaten 49 runs off 39 balls. Varma also hit his first T20I half-century in the second match and can be a very effective player for the 'Men in Blue' in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

The fourth and fifth matches of the IND vs WI T20I series will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Miami in Florida. The matches will be played on August 12 and 13, 2023 respectively.
