India batsman Shubman Gill picked Brazil's Neymar and South Africa's AB de Villiers as his favorite sportsperson outside cricket and best n-Indian cricketer respectively.
"Yeah, many. I like Neymar Jr a lot," said Gill when asked if he has a favourite sportsperson outside cricket. When asked to choose best n-Indian cricketer with whom he has played with or against, 20-year-old replied: "AB de Villiers."

right-handed batsman stressed that trying to focus on things one can control helped him stay cool mentally while preparing for international cricket.
"You can do that only by keeping those things aside that you cant control. And try to focus on things that you can control," he said.
Shubhman made his ODI debut for India against New Zealand early this year and has stated that it was biggest experience for him as sharing dressing room with seniors has helped him learn and lot about game. Since his ODI debut, youngster has led India A against South Africa A, and also India C in recently concluded Deodhar Trophy.

Just days earlier, India C skipper Shubman Gill played a match-winning kck of 143 runs off 142 balls as India C crushed India A by 232 runs to enter final of Deodhar Trophy. century also helped him register his highest List A score of career, surpassing 124 runs he scored last year.
Gill along with Team India Test opener Mayank Agarwal (120 of 111) shared a 226-run stand for first wicket. Gill smashed half a dozen sixes besides 10 fours. Suryakumar Yadav produced some fireworks (72 t out off 29) towards backend of innings to propel team to 366 for 3 in 50 overs.
