IPL 2020 ropes in Unacademy to replace Future Group as official partner in ₹40 cr deal
Unacademy has signed a three-year deal with the BCCI as an IPL central sponsor and will spend in the range of ₹120-130 crore during the period.

Indian conglomerate company Future Group recently pulled out of ir deal with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahe of IPL 2020. Future Group was one of associate sponsors of IPL 2020. After Future Group opted out as IPL sponsors, BCCI was looking for ir replacement. w, according to a recent development, BCCI has finally found ir replacement as Indian ed-tech company Unacemy has officially signed up with board as IPL central sponsor.

Unacemy has signed a three-year deal with BCCI as an IPL official partner and will spend in range of ₹120-130 crore for period. official anuncement about deal will be me soon. A BCCI official confirmed deal with InsideSport saying that deal with Unacemy is completed for 3 years and official anuncement about same will be me soon.
After Future Group pulled out and Dream11 was promoted as IPL title sponsors, BCCI was left with two empty slots for associate sponsors of IPL 2020. With Unacemy taking first slot, BCCI is currently in talks with credit card payment company CRED for second slot.

Future Group pulled out of cash-rich league as IPL sponsors because y are currently going through a restructuring phase. Future Group take over is set to happen which is why y opted to terminate ir association with IPL. y have also faced huge losses due to prevailing belligerent ecomic climate in wake of coronavirus pandemic.

retail conglomerate is w expected to face a takeover from Reliance Group. long-negotiated Reliance Future Group deal is likely to be completed by end of this month. Interestingly, Reliance Group is carved out of Reliance Industries, latter of which is owner of a popular IPL franchise Mumbai Indians.

IPL 2020: IPL dates and venue confirmed
Scheduled to launch on September 19, IPL 2020 season will run till vember 10 across three UAE venues. tournament was originally intended to launch on March 29 this year with a match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. However, pandemic enforced a delay by five-and-a-half-months.
