Rajasthan Royals bullish about David Miller's impact after Eng, Aus players' late arrival

IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals' Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jake Lush McCrum doesn't see the absence of their prominent players as a disadvantage.

13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is set to be played in UAE from September 19 and will go on till vember 10. However, several English and Australian players who are a part of different IPL franchises are set to miss first few matches of IPL 2020 due to limited-overs bilateral series between two nations. England-Australia series will end on September 16 but owing to tournament's quarantine protocols, players won't be immediately allowed to join franchises.

Rajasthan Royals unperturbed by absence of Steve Smith, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler

One of teams that will be majorly affected by England-Australia series is Rajasthan Royals. A number of prominent players of Rajasthan-based franchise are set to be a part of this series. Australia's Steve Smith who also happens to be captain of Rajasthan Royals is a member of visiting side that travels to UK for series. On or hand, England haven't anunced ir squ but players like Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer who are key members of Rajasthan Royals, are likely to feature in  series.

However, Rajasthan Royals' Chief Operating Officer, Jake Lush McCrum doesn't see absence of ir star players as a disvant. In fact, McCrum reckons that Rajasthan Royals will benefit from having a group of key players come into IPL 2020 having just finished a competitive limited-overs series.

During a media interaction, McCrum said that English and Australian players will be competing against each or in a high-quality series right before IPL 2020 which has many positives because it'll enable m to be at full match fitness. He ded that y will be competing at highest level before IPL 2020 where y'll be playing against best players day in and day out. Rajasthan Royals COO stated that English and Australian may miss first match due to protocols put in place by BCCI but y believe protocols are necessary to keep everyone safe.

McCrum furr said that y have an excellent and high-quality team with good depth and have ability to have an extremely competitive team to deal with absence of se players. However, he ackwledged prowess that English and Australian players bring to side saying that once se players join squ, y will provide a huge boost to team.

re is still a cloud of uncertainty looming over participation of South Africa players in IPL 2020 as country's borders are closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Rajasthan Royals only have a solitary Proteas players in ir squ in form of David Miller. Speaking about same, McCrum said that flights are being organised for South African players and support staff to get m across to UAE. 

He ded that David Miller is going to be in UAE well in vance of IPL 2020. RR COO opined that South African has plenty of time for preparation and he'll be rey for first match. He also said that y are really excited to see him in Rajasthan Royals shirt and hopefully, iir fans are too.
