Speculations were rife just after IPL 2024 ended that Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant would be moving to Chennai Super Kings. While this rumour did not take off at that point of time, now, it has gained steam after Pant took to social media and made a post on Tuesday. Pant posted a photo in which he is imitating a pose by superstar Rajnikanth, something MS Dhoni had done in 2016. And that was good enough to convince fans that he is moving to CSK. There have been several reports that have suggested that DC is not too happy with Pant. This also coincides with uncertainty over whether Dhoni has one more year in him.

Can Dhoni Push For Another Season?
Very unlikely! But again with Dhoni you just cannot predict. At 43, would Dhoni have the legs to push on for his fans. All through IPL 2024, Dhoni looked to be struggling with his right knee. What one understands is that it is the condition of his knee that would be critical when Dhoni takes the final call. Without a doubt, fans would love to see him forever.

Not long back, a report in Dainik Jagran suggested that the talks between the Capitals and Super Kings is on over Pant. The reports came in the same week as Ricky Ponting stepping down as DC's head coach. In fact, if the Capitals release Pant, you could see CSK bidding for him.

Pant would be a good addition for CSK as he is an IPL veteran and has a good knowhow of the conditions in India. If Pant walks into CSK, it would be interesting to see if he would be handed over the captaincy or not. Currently, Ruturaj Gaikwad is the captain of CSK.
