Rohit Sharma ASKED to Leave Jasprit Bumrah From 3rd Test vs NZ in Mumbai - DK Makes TALL CLAIM

Ind vs NZ: Veteran India cricketer Dinesh Karthik has made a tall claim where he reckons that Jasprit Bumrah should be rested for the Mumbai Test. Karthik feels this way because there is a five-match Test series coming up against Australia where Bumrah would be the key to India's fortunes. Karthik also went onto claim that Bumrah would be replaced by Mohammed Siraj for the Test. Bumrah has been to Australia in the past and has the experience of bowling in those conditions, something that should help the side.

‘Bumrah definitely needs a rest’

" Jasprit Bumrah definitely needs a rest without a doubt. That is happening, and you will see Mohammed Siraj come in. I can't think of any other change unless someone has a niggle. I don't see any reason why the batters who played this game or the bowlers should not get an opportunity," Karthik told Cricbuzz.

"The loss and the disappointment of the defeat are still weighing very heavily on my mind. I am not able to think very clearly about what the XI will be. It's too short a notice to be honest. But if I had to think straight away, I would say rest Bumrah and bring back Siraj," Karthik added.

Having lost the first two Tests against New Zealand, India's chances of making their third consecutive WTC final has taken a beating.

The remaining six Test matches are extremely crucial for the side. India play the opening Test against Australia on November 22 at the Optus stadium in Perth.
