In one such live session last year, Rohit has revealed that his favourite cricketer is none other than Ab de Villiers. One of the users asked him about his favourite player from the current generation. AB De Villiers announced his retirement from the sport on May, last year, after his stint at the Indian Premier League where he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Villiers played his last test match against Australia last year. AB De Villiers' retirement from the game was an extremely upsetting news for his fans.

AB de Villiers reportedly garnered 9,577 runs in the ODIs and he scored 8,765 runs in the Test matches.
