Shakib al Hasan ban: Other Bangladesh players who were banned earlier

Shakib al Hasan ban was sanctioned by the ICC with a year of a suspended sentence for failing to report approaches from bookies on numerous occasions.

Banglesh all-rounder T20I captain Shakib Al Hasan on Tuesday was handed a two-year ban from all cricket by International Cricket Council (ICC) with a year of a suspended sentence for failing to report approaches from bookies on numerous occasions.

Shakib accepted all three charges of breaching ICC Anti-Corruption Code and said that he is extremely s to have been banned from game that he loves. He also said that he completely accepts his sanction for t reporting approaches.

This is t first time that a Bangleshi player has been suspended or banned from cricket, we look at or players when such things have happened.

Former Banglesh captain was been banned for eight years for match-fixing in 2013.   Banglesh Cricket Board (BCB) tribunal h found n 29-year-old guilty of four charges of fixing matches in  Banglesh Premier League (BPL). Apart from ban, he was also reportedly given a fine of one million taka (approximately £7600). Ashraful mitted to offences and said at time that he sought forgiveness for all wrong-doings that he h committed. He also said that he was ashamed of what he has done.

Ashraful h a stellar start to his international cricketing career becoming his country's youngest Test centurion in 2001 at of 17. He played a total of 23 Twenty20 internationals, 61 Tests, and 177 one-day internationals, including captaining his side between 2007 and 2009. He is best remembered for his match-winning century in an ODI against Australia in Cardiff in 2005.

After he was allowed to play five List-A centuries in 2017-18 Dhaka Premier League. He is only second batsman to do so in a single List-A tournament; or being Alviro Peterson in 2015-16 Momentum One-Day Cup on South Africa's domestic circuit.

Shariful Haque

Ar Banglesh cricketer whose promising career came to end after he was banned on spot-fixing charges by Banglesh Cricket Board (BCB) in 20012.  An inquiry was set up during that period to probe into an allegation by former Test captain Mashrafe Mortaza that he was approached by off-spinner Haque about spot-fixing before Banglesh Premier League Twenty20 Tournament.

Mortaza h said he was told he would be paid 15 to 20?% of earnings from spot betting, in return for providing information about wher he would play in certain matches and even wher he would be wearing sunglasses. Haque was part of Banglesh squ in 1994 CC Trophy in Kenya and played three first-class matches.
