Virat Kohli & Team India face terror threat, cops to beef up security

Indian cricket team will be heading for the upcoming T20I series under tight security after reports of cricketers being on the hit list of terrorists emerged.

Indian cricket team will be heing for upcoming T20I series against Banglesh under tight security after reports have emerged of m been under terror threat.  'Men in Blue' are scheduled to play three T20Is against Banglesh, first of which will be played at Arun Jaitley Stium in New Delhi on Sunday. three-match series will be followed by two test matches.

Delhi T20I under terror threat

According to a leing online media portal, Delhi Police have been asked to beef up security of Indian cricket team, who are scheduled to face Banglesh in a T20 international at Arun Jaitley Stium on vember 3, after National Investigation ncy (NIA) received an anymous letter which claimed that Team India, particularly captain Virat Kohli, were on a hit list of a terror organisation in South India

Prominent names on hit list

Speaking to portal, Delhi police sources said that letter contains a list which also includes names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart Lal Krishna vani, BJP working President JP Nda and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat. NIA has subsequently forwarded letter to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

portal also reported sources claiming that while letter could be a hoax,  chances will be taken and security reviews of match venue and individual players are being carried out.

Shakib Al Hasan gets banned 

Banglesh cricket team will be touring India without ir Test and T20I captain Shakib-Al-Hasan, who was banned for two years on Tuesday after he pleed guilty to three charges under ICC Anti-Corruption Code. As per decision anunced on Tuesday evening, he will be able to resume international cricket on 29 October 2020, if he satisfies  conditions in respect of suspended part of sanction,
