Reaction from England spin bowling consultant Jeetan Patel at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday after the close of play on the third day of the second Test betwen India and England.Ravichandran Ashwin hit 106 on his home ground as the home side made 286 all out in their second innings.
There were four wickets apiece for Jack Leach and Moeen Ali, but with India having scored 329 in their first innings and England a dismal 134, it all meant the tourists would have to chase a world record 482 to win the match - or bat for more than two days to salvage a draw.Neither outcome is likely and England are staring at a heavy defeat - Joe Root's side slumped to 55-3 by stumps.Axar Patel picked up two wickets and Ashwin also removed England opener Rory Burns.
