It is unclear if Team India management decided to experiment with a new combination or not, but Yuzvendra Chahal was benched for the first time in the World Cup against Sri Lanka on Saturday. Despite not taking to the field, the leg spinner made headlines, for not doing much, just chilling near the boundary. The 28-year-old's ‘cool pose’ led to netizens making some hilarious memes, also including MS Dhoni and Stuart Binny.

Chahal, with the sunglasses on and bib over his jersey, was seen partly lying to the ground while leaning on to his right as he enjoyed the match from the boundary. He was surrounded, apart from the drinks, by his teammate Dhoni’s jersey. The moment gave the Twitteratti good potential to bring out their creative side.

From taking a dig at  Dhoni’s haters, to referring to the wicketkeeper-batsman's ‘Captain Cool’ persona, netizens even connected it to how former Team India all-rounder Stuart Binny would be feeling now. From binge-watching series, watching friends get on with their lives to feeling in family functions and even photoshopping Rekha and Anushka Sharma, the creativity was at its hilarious peak.

Team India didn’t miss Chahal much as his replacement Ravindra Jadeja did a good job, taking 1/40 in his 10 overs. Riding on Bumrah’s 3/37, India restricted Sri Lanka to 264/7.
